1 hectopascal equals 100 pascals  or 1 millibar, and is abbreviated hPa.

1 kilopascal (abbreviated kPa) equals 1000 pascals and 10 hectopascals.

1 Millibar is the force exerted by 1000 dynes on a square centimeter.

1 Dyne is the force which, acting on 1 gram mass for one second, imparts to it a velocity of one centimeter per second.

                               1 Millimeter equals .0394 inch.

1 Micrometer (abbreviated with Greek letter Mu) equals 1 millionth of a meter or .00003937 inch.

                               1 Inch equals 2.54 centimeters.

1Cubic foot equals .028 cubic meters.

                               1Gallon equals 3.785 liters.

                               1 Pound equals .373 kilograms.

                               1 Ton equals 1,000 kilograms.

1 Inch of rainfall  deposits 225,378 pounds (84,065.994 kilograms) or 112.7 tons (112,700 kilograms) of water on each acre.

1 Inch of rainfall equals about 6,272,640 cubic inches (522,720 cubic feet, or 14,636.16 cubic meters) of water per acre or 27,154 gallons (102,777.89 liters)of water per acre.

1 Inch of rain over one square mile equals 17,378,560 gallons of water or 334,540,800 cubic feet.

1 Knot (nautical mile per hour) equals 6,080 feet, or about 1.15 miles per hour.

                               Fahrenheit Temperature = (9/5) Celsius + 32.

                               Celsius  (formerly Centigrade) Temperature = 5/9 (Fahrenheit  - 32)

                               Kelvin Temperature = (Fahrenheit + 459.67) divided by 1.8.

                               Fahrenheit Temperature = (Kelvin x 1.8) - 459.67

                               Kelvin Temperature = Celsius + 273.15.

                               Celsius Temperature = Kelvin - 273.15.
